在留（ざいりゅう）カード の こうしん（あたらしく する こと）
在留カードは ずっと つかえません。 永住者（えいじゅうしゃ）の ひとも ７ねん で つかえなく なります。あなたのカードが いつまで つかえるか は、あなたのカードのしたに かいてあります。カードが つかえなく なっても おしらせは ない です。 永住者で、２０１２ねんに 在留カードを もらった ひとは、 ことし あたらしい カードを もらわないと いけません。あたらしく してないと ばっきん（わるいことを したとき、 ほうりつを まもらない ときに はらう おかね） を はらわなくては いけません。あたらしい カードは 入管（にゅうかん）で もらいます。入管（にゅうかん）では 「在留（ざいりゅう）カードを こうしん したい」と いいましょう。
おかねは いりません。
Renewing resident cards
Resident cards are not valid after they expire. Even if you are a permanent resident, your resident card will expire in 7 years. The expiry date is shown at the bottom of your card. Nobody will send you any notification about the expiration date, so please be careful. If you got your resident card in 2012, you have to renew it this year. If you fail, you will be penalized. Go to the Immigration Bureau and apply for your resident card renewal. No fees are required.
