You don’t need to be a professional interpreter!
Even if you’re not at a professional interpreter level, being able to handle everyday conversations in Japanese, such as health checkups for babies or parent-teacher meetings at elementary and middle schools, is enough to register with FACIL.
We also welcome introductions of people who can speak Urdu. For example…
There’s a mother who speaks Urdu at my child’s elementary school…
A friend who is an international student and speaks Urdu mentioned they are looking for a part-time job…
So, if you have acquaintances or family members who can interpret, please introduce them to us. We especially welcome those who can assist with interpreting in the Kobe area.
Many people have gained experience with FACIL and gone on to become professional interpreters, even if they had little experience when they registered.
